You Better Disco Bitch! Giorgio Moroder Wears Too Much Cologne (Probably) & Collabs With A-Listers

Holy nipples and news in November! We’ve got new Britney music coming next Spring.

I mean, this is obviously the message between the lines of the announcement from Vice today…: “After a memorable collaboration with Daft Punk on 2013’s Random Access Memories, electronic music legend Giorgio Moroder is back, releasing his first album of solo material in over 30 years. Announced today, the album is set to drop in spring 2015 on Sony/RCA and features a new batch of notable collaborators including Britney Spears, Sia, Kylie Minogue, Charli XCX, and more. Alongside the album announcement comes a new video for the track “74 is the New 24,” premiering exclusively on The Creators Project.”

Giorgio Moroder, famed Italian producer & DJ, is essentially the founder of synth disco and electronic dance music that we (I) cherish daily. He is responsible for Donna Summer‘s best hits including: “Last Dance”, “Bad Girls,”, “Hot Stuff”, “On The Radio”, and “MacArthur Park”. He is also responsible for Blondie‘s “Call Me”. Those songs were magic, so clearly everyone is just a tad moist over the announcement that he is/has been/will be collaborating with some of music’s legendary diva’s.

We already know that Sia is recording gold, so that is going to be a scorcher; same with Kylie Charli. Britney though… That’s what everyone is going to be focusing on. I have a hunch that they are going to really connect in the studio and he will be a heavy influence on her next album. She needs it, we need it, and he has it, or at least he used to have it.

I bet we’ll see a little bit of Gwen, Ellie Goulding, & maybe even some Azealia Banks as potential collabs on this album. Please let Adele be featured…
