David! (Linda) Listen!

Superstar DJ, David Guetta, unleashed the tracklist for his upcoming LP Listen and it looks very promising. This marks Guetta’s newest album release since 2011’s Nothing But The Beat, a personal favorite of mine. We have already heard “Bad”, “Shot Me Down”, “Lovers on the Sun”, and the epic “Dangerous”, so we have a taste of what we can expect. I must say that I have been pretty impressed with the stuff he has been putting out. So who exactly did Guetta collaborate with?

1. Dangerous (feat. Sam Martin)
2. What I Did For Love (feat. Emeli Sandé)
3. No Money No Love (feat. Elliphant & Ms. Dynamite)
4. Lovers on the Sun (feat. Sam Martin)
5. Goodbye Friend (feat. The Script)
6. Lift Me Up (feat. Nico & Vinz, Ladysmith Black Mambazo)
7. Listen (feat. John Legend)
8. Bang My Head (feat. Sia)
9. Yesterday (feat. Bebe Rexha)
10. Hey Mama (feat. Nicki Minaj & Afrojack)
11. Sun Goes Down (feat. MAGIC! & Sonny Wilson)
12. S.T.O.P (feat. Ryan Tedder)
13. I’ll Keep Loving You (feat. Jaymes Young & Birdy)
14. The Whisperer (feat. Sia)

Deluxe Edition:
15. Bad (feat. Vassy)
16. Rise (feat. Skylar Grey)
17. Shot Me Down (feat. Skylar Grey)
18. Dangerous (feat. Sam Martin) [Robin Schulz Remix]

Pretty much every one who is anyone, and some up and coming talent. This is shaping up to be a very successful era for Guetta, and prominently features two Sia songs!!!! Bebe Rexha has written a few, John Legend is on the title track, we have a Nicki Minaj joint thrown in, some Skylar GreyNico & VinzEmeli Sande for good measure, and of course Ms. Ryan Tedder.

We know we can expect 51 minutes of party from the French DJ extraordinaire, but just how much party? My guess would be that it is going to be the equivalent of a handful of molly crushed up and rolled into a blunt of weed, that is then dipped in LSD, gets sprinkled with a smidge of PCP, and chased with a gram of shrooms. A whole lotta party, basically. The kind where you are tripping so hard that you find God, lose him/her, then go on an outer space adventure all within 5 minutes, probably during “Bang My Head (feat. Sia)”.

There has clearly been a tremendous amount of effort put into this project, and we will all find out on November 21st, officially, but probably a bit sooner as things are prone to leak these days. Huzzah Guetta, huzzah!
