5 Times Selena Gomez Was Everything

If you don’t know by now, I am unabashedly here for a one, Ms. Selena Gomez. From her first “solo” release with The Scene (Ms. Rockthang), she had me jumping on my bed and singing into a hairbrush. Don’t judge until after you learn why she is a pop Duchess. The five times Selena Gomez was amazing…

1.) “A Year Without Rain”

When wandering the desert for a thousand days, one will develop quite the thirst; Selena is here to quench it. This song still has me slain, and it was off of her second album! The deep trancey beat, the sultry delivery, and those pained lyrics, this bitch went awwwf. This song is the perfect companion to any pre-teen/teen girl as she doodles all over her notebook, pensively writes in her diary about her boyfrand, and broods in the corner (I’m that teenage girl). Enjoy, and don’t forget to check out the Dave Aude and Spanish remixes:

2.) “Rock God”

Selena likes herself a bad boy. She enlists the help of a preacher man who ventures into clubs to help cure her of her a-dick-tion. I can’t blame her thirsty little ass, I’d love me a rock god. Black leather table for 2 (or 3 [1…2…3…]). The bouncy beat and urgent vocals make this another standout track from A Year Without Rain. “Preacher man….preacher man” she croons as she takes us all to church, “…and I’m sorry if I left the angels cryin’ ooooohhhhveeeerr meeeee”… Just listen:

3.) “Outlaw”

Selena, girl, you need an intervention. This girl is from the lone star state and she doesn’t have any time for any of that. On one hand, she wants the D, but on the other she’s all “maybe I shouldn’t let Becky go home with him”. Becky is grown, Selena, and she is her own woman. Anyway, this marks a more mature sound for Selena and it comes from her third album When the Sun Goes Down. Slayage:

4.) “Whiplash”

This song was co-written by the legendary Ms. Britney Spears, and lives up to its hype. This is a smash… But, unfortunately, was never released as a single. Whiplash explodes with bursts of electronic gold and Selena moans, “Come on and take me to the other side….I’m so in love, I think I’m gonna crash and get whiplash, whiplash, whiplash.” This is one of my cardio jams and gives me life every time I hear it. This is a huge reason why I love her. She just has a knack for releasing good music, and she doesn’t sound out of place or awkward. Get it girl!

5.) “Stars Dance”

Honestly, this was a hard list to make, because Selena has so many great songs! “Stars Dance” is probably my favorite track from her most recent release, Stars Dance. The title track is an ode to giving your lover ev-ery-thang. “I can make the stars dance..dance..dance for you”, Selena confidently sings. This song oozes sex… I pop on this song, light a few candles, open my poppers, and devour a twink. I mean, not really, twinks aren’t my thing. It would be a muscle bunny. I digress… Selena turns up the heat and charm for this one. Listen:
