Superstar DJ, David Guetta, unleashed the tracklist for his upcoming LP Listen and it looks very promising. This marks Guetta’s newest album release since 2011’s Nothing But The Beat, a personal favorite of mine. We have already heard “Bad”, “Shot Me Down”, “Lovers on the Sun”, and the epic “Dangerous”, so we have a taste of what we can expect. I must say that I have been pretty impressed with the stuff he has been putting out. So who exactly did Guetta collaborate with?
Left-hook and donkey punch enthusiast, Dawn Richard, has unleashed some pretty awesome news today. The Goldenheart singer has unveiled the cover art to her upcoming LP Blackheart, which is set to hit shelves on January 19th, 2015. Along with this little nugget, she released the lead single, “Blow”, and corresponding video. Looks like things are gonna get a bit gritty, you better take me there Ms. Richard.
Austin Mahone, my little chicken nugget, released a stellar R&B jam today titled “Places”. He premiered the song on SoundCloud as a special little treat. “Here’s a new song me and Robert wrote since we’ve been in the new house! Hope you like it!”
“Oh God! Woah! What?” By now, we’re all familiar with the Big Sean call. If this were Pokémon, Big Sean would be the evolved form of Lil’ Jon. Personally, I would keep pressing B to prevent that shit. Anyway, Large Sean is featured on Calvin Harris’ newest song (single?) “Open Wide”, and the video came out todayish.
Somewhere in Hell, Satan is bundled up in an off-brand North Face while cursing Taylor Swift; Hell has frozen over, because Swift has actually went and released a solid pop record that has me here for her. Let’s be honest, her releasing a pop record has been a long time coming, and Red wasn’t too far off with the likes of “I Knew You Were Trouble.”, and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”. When she released “Shake It Off”, I rolled my eyes so hard that they actually got stuck in the back of my head. Other than looking adorable in the video, the song was pretty terrible. Then, came “Out of the Woods”, another song that kind of underwhelmed me save for the amazing drums. Finally, “Welcome to New York” debuted and I was all “Okay, I see you Taylor. Getting your pop record.” The album leaked pretty early on Friday and I immediately played it… Here are the results.
Oh man! Lots of goodies leaked this weekend including, but not limited to: Taylor Swift’s 1989, Danity Kane‘s DK3, Leighton Meister’s Heartstrings, Calvin Harris’ Motion, Mary J. Blige’s The London Sessions, a Far East Movement EP, a handful of music videos, and several songs. Basically, I have been binge watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and/or working, so I have neglected updating.

….because it’s “Iggy Szn”. Iggy Azalea, formerly Amethyst Kelly, released a new song from Reclassified and it is all about the season of the Ratchet, aka Iggy Season. How does one celebrate such a season?
Two Eleven Princess, Brandy, is prominently featured in the new Mystery Skulls joint, “Number 1”, and it is obviously good. The LA based act is known primarily for their indie/electronica vibe, and “Number 1” is definitely vibin’.

Will Young, British pop extraordinaire and penis enthusiast, released a solid ass album back in 2011. Echoes was full of throbbing cuts, emotions, and a little bit of fun, all coming together to make Young standout. I am a huge fan of UK pop acts, so when I heard Will Young was prepping a new release, I was all into it. And here is why.
